so much to do, so little time

A few updates regarding our trip!!

I finally got myself a backpack for Europe... it's pretty much the typical backpack one would expect for this sort of travel. It's surprisingly light and has a lot of padding, so I am hoping my grandma-back can handle it for 3 months. He said it was made specifically for women... so I guess that's a bonus? Who knows, I'm not the outdoorsy type, so all the backpacks kind of all blurred together to me. This one opened along the front though and had two removable bags, which were the selling features to me. If I had to dig everything I packed out of my bag everytime I needed something for three months - I'd lose my mind!! The bag was on sale too - only $150! (I know that sounds crazy for a backpack, but it's going to be my life for 3 months)

I also purchased this weird towel thing. Ok it's not a weird towel thing - it is a towel. It folds really small, and super absorbent, so it dries crazy fast, and won't smell up my luggage! It was $28 bucks, which is a lot for a towel, but the guy said I'd thank him later... I guess I'm an easy sale, but it seems like a good idea! I also bough lots of Canada patches to put on my bag so I'm not mistaken for an American ;)

Now to the exciting stuff - FLIGHTS!
The first month of our trip is finalized!

Bre and I booked our flights from Paris, France, to Geneva, Switzerland on June 2 on easyjet.com, and then after two nights there, flying from Geneva to Nice, France! The total for both flights came to I believe 106 Euros, including luggage fees etc. I am so excited! We now have to look around for couchsurfers to stay with in Geneva, but Nice we opted for hostels.

We also booked a flight way, way in advance since we are staying with Bre's family in the UK we had to let them know all the flight details and arrival, so that they can book their summer as well, and be around. So we have our flight leaving August 7th from Amsterdam to London! It will be nice to stay in the comfort of family for a week after 2 months of non-stop travel to get energized for the last couple weeks of our trip.

25 days and many more flights and ferries to worry about! Ahh.
